The garden has been designed and developed by Lesley and John Jenkins since 1984. It is set around a 16th Century Hall House and has developed into an important modern garden in the English Garden tradition with echoes of Arts and Crafts. It covers 4 acres, is intensely cultivated and depending upon plant interest, visits can take between 2 and 4 hours.

Head Gardener: Phillip Smith - Phillip is an enthusiastic horticulturist having held previous positions at Winterbourne House & Garden (Birmingham) and Ragley Hall (Warwickshire)
Assistant Gardener: Belinda Howarth - Belinda has previously worked for the National Trust at Attingham Park (Shropshire) and Powis Castle (Powys)

The garden is tourist brown-sign posted off the A53 between the A41 junction at Tern Hill and Hodnet. We are 15 miles north of Telford and Shrewsbury, 25 miles south of Chester, approximately 1 hour’s drive from Derby, Manchester and Birmingham and 1½ hours from Liverpool.
Car parking is in the field opposite the main entrance. Follow the directional signs in the lane on arrival. Blue badge disabled parking is available. Please contact the garden prior to visiting to pre-book.
