After a few brilliant days at the end of September plus some cold night plants are begining to colour up for autumn and there are jobs to be done around the garden for much more see my list of Jobs For October My biggest worry is to get all my Dahlias correctly named before we get a frost. The weather people are forcsting a much wetter cooler and at times very windy week ahead after a nice week end so make the most of it if you can!
Many years ago this was the community tennis court for those with gardens backing onto it, anyone not keen on tennis was sold a house on the other side of the road as access was by a gate at the bottom of around 20 properties. However in the 1950's a gentleman who was leasing number 8 Bagnell Road purchased the tennis courts to add to the property for £17 10 shillings and 6 pence!, hance we have a large garden.
